Turkish Airlines is set to return to Durban with bi-weekly flights, connecting the coastal city with Istanbul from June 16 2022.
Durban is now the third South African city added to Turkish Airlines’ range of destinations. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which include a stopover in Johannesburg where passengers travelling to or from Durban remain on board while the Johannesburg passengers disembark or board.
A spokesperson for the airline commented that ‘Durban is one of South Africa’s biggest markets, with many industrial companies and also a growing leisure market.’
Fares for the first Durban flights are already open for booking with prices starting from R10 350 for a return flight to Istanbul.
