AirHelp Inc. has released its 2024 score report, highlighting the best and worst airports globally.
The company, which secures compensation for air travellers after delays and cancellations, creates the rankings based on a number of factors.
These include the claims it processes worldwide, customer feedback, shopping options and the quality of food options at 239 airports across the globe.
Punctual arrivals and departures represent 60% of each airport’s score.
The data analysis used for this year’s ranking spans from the 1st of May 2023 to the 30th of April 2024.
Taking the lead this year is Hamad International Airport in Qatar. In last year’s awards, it had ranked fifth place.
South Africa’s very own Cape Town International Airport came in second, and OR Tambo International Airport secured 6th place.
Closing off the Top 10 is Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan.
