The United Kingdom has added four more countries to their travel ‘red list’.
Travellers from Oman, Somalia, Ethiopia and Qatar are now also banned from entering, making it even more difficult for South Africans who could previously still gain entry via connecting flights in those countries.
However, Portugal and Mauritius will be removed from England’s red list.
According to Business Tech, only British and Irish citizens or those with residency will be allowed access to the country and must stay in a government-approved quarantine facility for 10 days.
These restrictions exclude cargo carriers.
