Travellers entering the United States no longer have to produce negative PCR test results as of 12 June 2022. All visitors, however are still required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to the New York Times, the US Travel Association estimates that eliminating the testing requirement will bring an additional 5.4 million international visitors to the United States and $9 billion more in travel spending this year alone.
South Africans travelling to the United States for tourism need a visitor visa (B-2) visa to enter.
