Norway’s skyline was lit up by an unusual meteor on Saturday 19 November 2022. The meteor which is sometimes referred to as a bolide due to its intense brightness could be seen throughout the Southern Norway perimeter.
The fireball, caused by the meteor burning up in the atmosphere, was a cause for concern for residents who ended up alerting the local police.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute says the meteor belongs to an unusual shower called the Northern Taurids.
