An Indonesian woman was killed and eaten by a python on 23 October.
The woman, who worked at a rubber plantation as a rubber tapper, went to work that morning. When her husband found some of her clothes and tools she used for work that evening, he reported her missing and called on a search party.
The following day, a 5 m-long snake with a huge stomach was found. Locals killed the snake to find the woman’s body inside. ‘The victim was found in the snake’s stomach,’ Betara Jambi, police chief AKP S Harefa told local media outlets. He added that her body was largely intact, reports BBC.
Although this is a very rare incident, two similar deaths occurred in Indonesia in 2017 and 2018.
