SA Forest Adventures has recently launched the world’s longest zipline, located just outside Caledon, roughly an hour from Cape Town.

This new attraction, spanning 3.2 kilometres, allows thrill-seekers to soar above the stunning Overberg region, reaching exhilarating speeds of up to 120 km/h and descending a staggering 500 meters.
This zipline marks the seventh major project by K3, a company known for its award-winning outdoor activities. Visitors begin their adventure at the Base Camp, where experienced guides conduct safety briefings and manage check-ins. The journey to the top takes approximately 50 minutes, culminating at a platform aptly named ‘The Nest,’ designed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding environment.
Safety remains a top priority, with weight restrictions set between 60 and 120 kg, and health requirements to ensure all participants can enjoy the ride safely though advance bookings are highly recommended, walk-ins may be accepted if space is available.
This new attraction is expected to have significantly impact local economy. David Maynier, Western Cape’s MEC for Finance and Economic Opportunities, highlighted the project’s potential to create jobs and boost tourism, benefiting local businesses.
