What are these stone circles? Who had the astronomical knowledge to build a calendar that lines up with the pyramids of Giza and the Zimbabwe ruins?
The discovery of an ancient calendar site on the top of Kaapsehoop and the unexplained stone circles strewn across the province as far as Gauteng raise more questions than anyone seems to be able to answer convincingly.
Further to the Getaway magazine Adam’s Calendar article, I’ve compiled a list of GPS coordinates, YouTube videos and a PDF download of the article as it appeared in the July 2011 issue of Getaway magazine.
The explanations are often considered controversial but before you wade into the debate, have a look at these satellite images, then let us know what you think in the comments section:
Cut and paste these coordinates into Google Maps and zoom in, then scroll around.
