One of the big problems with sifting through more than a 1000 great Getaway travel articles for our new book Getaway: 21 years of African travel writing was finding space. One decision we took relatively early was to exclude our ‘out of Africa’ features, such as this one: Cuba – Before Castro goes by Justin Fox (Getaway’s editor at large). It’s a pity as over the years Getaway has expanded its reach to include far-flung places keeping pace with the international trends of the global village.
