1. Dolphin Paragliding – Western Cape
Dolphin Paragliding operates from the Garden Route in George, Mossel Bay, Wilderness, Plettenberg Bay, and Knysna.
Aside from a vast list of picturesque destinations to fly over, Dolphin Paragliding offers numerous packages. Their standard package is fun, safe, and easy. You can sit back, relax and enjoy the flight while the pilot does all the work.
Their adventure package includes an extra 20 minutes, and the instructor gives you the chance to take control of the toggles, giving you the chance to fly the paraglider!
Rates: Their standard package goes for R850, and their adventure package costs R1450. Photos and videos are charged extra at R250.

2. Attitude4Altitude – North West
Even though Attitude4Altitude is based in Hartbeespoort, their flights are nationwide. The flight starts from on top of a mountain, then running a short distance before the wing inflates, and you are swept off your feet into the skies.
If you’re seeking to capture the moments, they’ve got you covered with either a GoPro or a selfie-stick. Payments for Attitude4Altitude are slightly different than the others on this list. Payments are to be made in cash, done this way to avoid putting pressure on people into flying because they have already paid for it.

3. Cape Town Tandem Paragliding – Western Cape
Cape Town is without a doubt one of the most spectacular places in the world to go paragliding. Flights set off from Lion’s Head and Signal Hill, giving you a birds-eye view of the iconic Table Mountain, and the surrounding landscape.
Flights can last up to 30 minutes.
Rates: R1300 per flight, including a R300 booking deposit. Inflight photos and videos are an additional R300.

4. Wild Sky Paragliding – KwaZulu-Natal
Wild Sky Paragliding is nestled in Bulwer in the Southern Drakensberg, in amongst beautiful mountainscape surrounded by vast vistas. Don’t miss a chance to fly over the rocky escarpment and fields flowering plants.
Rates: Flights range from 10 to 25 minutes, with prices starting at R950 per person, and an additional R250 for inflight photos.

5. Winelands Paragliding – Western Cape
Winelands Paragliding have several locations to fly from in the Cape Winelands. Their locations include: the Du Toitskloof pass, Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve and Paarl Rock. All of these locations are within 40 minutes of each other.
Flights run for one to two hours, and they accommodate those with physical disabilities.
Rates: Their rates start at R1500. They have optional extras, such as inflight photos, a t-shirt and a trucker cap, each of which cost R300.
