Different parts of the country boast plenty of natural attractions which are worth visiting. Here’s a look at just a few of them:

Mpumalanga is the perfect place for breathtaking natural beauty and stunning views. One of the province’s most beautiful and popular natural attractions is God’s Window.

The landscape is absolutely stunning and consists of rolling hills of emerald green that seem to go on forever. It is also home to towering cliffs covered in lush vegetation, as well as deep ravines. The incredible views that can be enjoyed from the attraction, both of the escarpment and the valley that lies below it, are the primary reason why it is considered to be so unique. During clear weather, you might even be able to make out Maputo in the distance!

The iconic and world-famous Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa. Covering nearly 2 million hectares, it is home to the Big 5 and plenty of other animal species. Visitors to the Park can enjoy a number of wildlife experiences, including a self-drive glamping safari, guided tours or even walking safaris. As you immerse yourself in refreshing and breathtaking natural beauty, expect to encounter different animal species and interesting birdlife.

Acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden offers a wonderful experience for every nature lover. The attraction is located at the bottom of South Africa’s famous Table Mountain and is a must-see.

It boasts more than 9,000 of Southern Africa’s 22,000 plant species, and was created to protect the country’s flora. Great importance is also placed on the growth of indigenous plants in Southern Africa.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park is one of KwaZulu-Natal’s most treasured natural wonders. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and boasts an impressive variety of flora and fauna.

The beauty of the Park truly lives up to its name as the word ‘iSimangaliso’ means ‘miracle’ or ‘wonder’. The Park offers a number of impressive wildlife opportunities to enjoy, including safaris where you can spot species such as hippos, zebras, elephants, crocodiles and rhinos.
