The Mother City has received a mention as one of Culture Trip‘s 10 greenest cities in the world. Cape Town was named in the company of eco-friendly champions like Amsterdam, Singapore and Vancouver.
Cape Town is world-famous for its scenery, among other things.
These cities earned their spots as places where ‘cutting-edge urban culture can be enjoyed alongside the outdoors,’ the travel advisory platform said.
Of Cape Town, they sang the praises of its numerous nature reserves, miles of dramatic coastline, and an efficient public transport system. The Western Cape’s capital is also considered Africa’s greenest city.
‘Take the cable car up and, if you’re feeling brave, abseil down Table Mountain before heading to peaceful Oudekraal Beach, still inside Table Mountain National Park. The city was also recently voted as one of Big 7 Travel’s ‘Best Cities for remote working‘ for 2021.
