The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a number of industries to a grinding halt over the last year, but as more and more vaccines start to roll out, we’re beginning to see things slowly return to normal.
One of the industries to make a return are cruise liners, and Bare Necessities has one of the most unique cruises you’re ever likely to come across.
Bare Necessities was founded in 1991 and prides itself in being the ‘first and the best‘ bare cruising company in the world. The company’s goal is to break down the barriers against social nudity and make ‘clothing-optional’ vacationing a viable and acceptable option for all.
Bare Necessities is launching a one-of-a-kind, two-week-long fully naked Caribbean cruise aboard its Carnival Pride, which will set sail on February 13, 2022 board the Carnival Pride, an 88,500 ton, 2,124 capacity cruise liner, just one day before the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s day.
The fully naked cruise will board in Tampa, Florida, before making starting its 14-day journey. The cruise will make stops in Panama, Colombia, Bonaire, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas, before it finally returns back to Florida, two weeks after initially setting off. Passengers will be required to be fully dressed when arriving at the port, but once the ship sets sail, passengers will be allowed to get rid of those pesky clothes.
In terms of dining options, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an au naturel dining experience in the ship’s Mermaid’s Grill on the Lido Deck with lovely mermaid statues adorning the walls. Alternatively, they also have the option of Guy’s Burger Joint, and the deliciously spicy BlueIguana Cantina.
For those looking to enjoy a meal without having to stare at hundreds of naked bodies, the ship also has an Art Deco-inspired main dining room which does require clothing to enter.
‘This ship is sleek, fast, and with its daring decor, Carnival Pride is the perfect fit for our bare cruise. We are proud to announce she will be home for our one-of-a-kind epic two-week journey. Carnival’s staff and crew are the best and we can bare-ly wait to see them again in 2022!’ Bare Necessities wrote on their website.
