The Free State province is known for its rolling hills, as well as its quaint and charming towns.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Bloemfontein, one finds the picturesque Free State National Botanical Garden. The natural oasis boasts tall grasslands and is dominated by magnificent wild olive trees.

It is the place to be for all who appreciate wildlife, unspoiled beauty and a good hike. Within the botanical garden’s embrace, a diverse ecosystem flourishes. From 151 species of birds, an array of 54 reptiles, to nearly 50 species of mammals, this sanctuary teems with life.
