God’s Window is one of the province’s most beautiful and popular natural attractions. It is the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking natural beauty and spectacular views.

The landscape is absolutely stunning and consists of rolling hills of emerald green that seem to go on forever. It is also home to towering cliffs covered in lush vegetation, as well as deep ravines.

The incredible views that can be enjoyed from the attraction, both of the escarpment and the valley that lies below it, are the primary reason why it is considered to be so unique. During clear weather, you might even be able to make out Maputo in the distance!

Kruger National Park

The world-famous Kruger National Park is worth visiting when in the Mpumalanga province.

Covering nearly 2 million hectares, the Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa. It is home to the Big Five, as well as plenty of other animal species.

You can enjoy an early morning safari, or visit the bush late in the afternoon. On a sunset safari, you will get to admire not just the impressive sight of wildlife, but the gorgeous Mpumalanga sunset too.

Sudwala Caves

Sudwala Caves are a marvel of natural history. Formed approximately 240 million years ago, they stand as a testament to Africa’s ancient past within Gondwana.

The interesting caves are known as the oldest caves in the world, and they offer a view of incredible rock formations. One of the cave’s most interesting features is the PR Owen Hall, also known as the amphitheater. It has natural acoustics and is known as the place where legendary musicians such as the late Miriam Makeba are said to have performed.

Straddling the Crocodile River, the Lowveld National Botanical Gardens boast incredible beauty.

You can expect the breathtaking sight of the largest man-made rain forest in the world, as well as baobabs, cycads and more. Come ready to capture the beauty of nature, as the garden is a must-see for its plant species.

Moreover, the character of the garden is shaped by the two main rivers that cut across it, so there is an abundant supply of water. During the summer rainy period, the garden is a haven for walkers and tourists. Its lushness and the refreshing sound of the two rivers lure visitors.
