Burj Khalifa, Dubai

Standing at 828m tall, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest structure. This towering global attraction represents the heart and soul of Dubai. Since its opening in 2010, it has drawn tourists in their numbers. It has more than 160 floors and is home to various establishments including restaurants, offices, malls and other industrial spaces. When in Dubai, a visit to the Burj Khalifa is a definite must-do.

Eiffel Tower, Paris

The magnificent Eiffel Tower is one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. From the top of the structure, you can see incredible views of Paris. Interestingly, the Tower was initially constructed to only last for 20 years and would be destroyed thereafter. Of course, this is not how things unfolded as the iconic landmark continues to stand as an attraction which draws millions of travellers to Paris.

Taj Mahal, India

Located in Agra, India, the Taj Mahal is worth seeing. With its magnificent white marble, the mausoleum complex is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was constructed by 20 000 workers and took about 22 years to complete. It holds an interesting romantic history which is worth tapping into. As a stunning architectural attraction, it is a structure which every travel enthusiast deserves to visit at least once in their lifetime.

The Colosseum is an amphitheater in the heart of Rome, Italy. Built from concrete and stone, it is considered as one of the greatest architectural feats achieved by the Ancient Romans. Moreover, the structure’s design and shape have served as an inspiration for the design of many modern-day stadiums. A visit to this attraction is steeped in history and is thus nothing short of interesting and enriching.

Also known as The Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest and oldest of the three main pyramids on the Giza plateau. Built around 2570 BC, it served as a tomb for Pharoah Khufu.

There are three known chambers inside of the Great Pyramid. To appreciate its enormity, getting up close to this iconic structure with massive limestone rocks is ideal and worthwhile.
