Explore the beauty of nature at Silaka Nature Reserve

Located only 7km south of Port St. Johns, one finds the beautiful Silaka Game Reserve.

Covering 400 hectares, it comprises grasslands, a dramatic piece of coastline, as well as a magnificent indigenous forest. The reserve is committed to biodiversity and also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities.

Horse riding

Explore Port St. Johns on horseback as you ride through the undulating hills dotted with traditional Xhosa huts. You can also enjoy a picturesque setting at the mouth of the Mzimvubu River.

A horse riding experience in this special town offers a mixture of cultural richness, as well as the chance to gallop across parts of the destination’s offering.

Cape Hermes Lighthouse

Built in 1903, the Cape Hermes Lighthouse is an attraction worth seeing. It shines one flash every three seconds and was built using granite rocks which were quarried from nearby.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the fresh wind and a lovely view, as well as to take advantage of photo opportunities.
