Ensure that your car is in good condition
Before embarking on your trip, make sure that your car is roadworthy and in travelling condition. From the oil to headlights and even tyres, it is essential to ensure that everything is in working order.
Pack healthy snacks
Although there are most probably plenty of shops along the way, it is best to pack your own snacks too. This will help you save money, while also ensuring that you nibble on healthy snacks which are high in nutritional value.

Stopping regularly is necessary and should not be avoided. Stretching your legs every once in a while is beneficial and will help you to stay alert. Stop at filling stations and fun roadside attractions to get a short break from the monotony of driving.

If you are driving with other licensed drivers, it is a good idea to take turns in the driver’s seat.
