With the busy holiday season fast approaching, FlySafair will be adding two aircraft to its fleet.

According to TravelNews, the two Boeing 737-800 NG are expected to add an extra 12-14 flights per day to the aircraft’s schedule.

Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer for FlySafair shared that there was no better time to prepare for the busy holiday season than now. This is especially since December bookings are already rising.

FlySafair has not yet confirmed the routes which the new aircraft will be using, although they are likely to add capacity to South Africa’s Golden Triangle which is Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

The first aircraft is expected to be added to the airline’s schedule in September, with the second one being brought into service in the month of November. This will bring FlySafair’s total fleet number to 36 aircraft.
