Weird things can happen when you’re in an outdoor clothing shop – I’m often baffled by the way my money is suddenly transformed into collapsible hiking bowls and mosquito repellent. Shoppers in South Korea got something a bit more hair-raising, though, when the floor… kinda… disappeared.
To be fair, this is pretty much what my face looks like every time I have to make a choice in an outdoor clothing store.

Nicely done, North Face. If any South African outdoor brands take a leaf out of this book, I volunteer as tribute. I have a very high tolerance for looking stupid, and a powerful weakness for lightweight yet sturdy hiking jackets.
