At 9:15 am, the young lions and hyenas were seen attempting to take down the buffalo. By 9:44 am, the scene remained chaotic as the buffalo broke free but continued to be pursued by the predators. The chase led them approximately 700 meters west of the junction, where the buffalo attacked several cars, including damaging the front grill of an Audi.
Kerry described the event as the most incredible hunt she had ever witnessed.
‘The buffalo turned and charged at our vehicle, smashing into the hood and leaving pieces of the grill and blood on the car,’ she recounted. The intense encounter left observers both shocked and exhilarated.
By noon, reports indicated that the lions were resting while the hyenas persisted. However, by 2 pm, the area was devoid of any of the animals involved, leaving the outcome uncertain.
