A new documentary Saving Jaws, features Ocean Ramsey freediving with great white and tiger sharks. The film gives viewers a look at these marine predators as the incredible, majestic animals that they are, rather than just killing machines. Ocean refutes the idea that she is a shark whisperer but believes that swimming with great whites and tiger sharks is all about the science.
Images of the shark biologist, conservationist, scuba instructor, and model swimming with these behemoth fish have gone viral. She, however, continues to work daily to study and help save sharks.
The movie aims to help viewers experience how incredible sharks and and what we stand to lose if we don’t fight to save sharks and the ocean environment. Skip past the 27 second mark in the Vimeo preview if you’d like to see Ocean swimming with sharks.
