After a decade since its initial designs were unveiled, the Romotow T8 rotating travel trailer is now available for purchase. This sleek and futuristic caravan, created by New Zealand-based architecture firm W2, has hit the market at a price of £187,124 (approximately R4.2 million).
The Romotow T8 is not your average luxury RV. Its innovative two-part design allows for the living space to be substantially expanded. One part of the chassis is stationary. The other portion, which contains the living space, can rotate to a 90-degree angle at the touch of a button, effectively transforming the chassis into a covered patio or deck.
This travel trailer can accommodate up to six people and boasts a saloon with a kitchenette, a stand-up shower, a toilet, and a main bedroom with two adults. The dining lounge in the main cabin features wraparound panoramic glass windows, a fold-down table, and two bench seats. These benches can be transformed into a comfortable sleeping area that can accommodate two single beds or a double bed, making it suitable for larger groups.
The open kitchenette is fully equipped with a gas cooktop, oven, sink, and a fridge and freezer unit, making it an ideal home away from home for those who love to cook and entertain. With its unique and functional design, the Romotow T8 is an excellent choice for adventurous travellers who value style and substance.
