Facebook page Mooi fotos van die natuur posted an incredible video of an elephant breaking down a large tree. This video serves as a sobering reminder of the strength of these gentle giants.

An elephant’s trunk is the infusion of both the upper lip and an elongated nose. Weighing up to 140kg it can even be used as a deadly weapon.
As seen in the clip above, an elephant’s trunk is tremendously strong and, combined with its bodily power, can easily break down trees and toss logs a great distance. Using their trunk and tusks, elephants can carry extremely large logs too.
